Event Details

Journey into the world of making sourdough bread from start to finish. Tyler Gallagher, owner and operator of Seraphim Bread, will introduce you to the procedures of making sourdough bread in your own home! We will cover the basics of fermentation, autolyse, mixing, shaping and baking loaves of wonderful Seraphim Bread's Kansas Country Sourdough bread. The library will provide you with: a link to Tyler’s pre-recorded instruction video, a handout, a sourdough starter, and enough flour to bake two loaves of bread at home.

Pickup Note: Sourdough starter will need to be refrigerated immediately after pickup until you plan to use it per the provided directions.

Registration required. Sourdough starter kits will be available for pick up between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. from the library's north lobby.
