Salina ReadsProgram Description
Event Details
The community is invited to launch Salina Reads with an evening of music, creativity, and animal-themed fun. Guests can enjoy live music from Treehouse, tasty appetizers, and a hands-on animal craft for all ages. The event will also feature exciting visits from special animal friends from the Lakewood Discovery Center, Rolling Hills Zoo, and the Salina Animal Services.
This years title is “Fuzz: When Nature Breaks The Law” by Mary Roach.
Mary Roach—hailed as “America’s funniest science writer”—investigates the unpredictable world where humans and wildlife collide. Through curious cases like jaywalking moose and break-in–prone bears, she reveals how science, rather than law, offers the most insightful solutions to human-wildlife conflict.
Free copies of this year’s titles will be available while supplies last.
