Shaft (1971): In this film launching the blaxploitation genre, John Shaft, a private investigator, is hired by a Harlem crime boss to find his kidnapped daughter. During his investigation, Shaft uncovers a Mafia plot to take over a chunk of the Black underworld's uptown territory. This film is rated R.
