Program Description

Event Details

Join us for lunch as we learn about how to best utilize voice and body language in the workplace from Salina speech/language pathologist Kathleen Depperschmidt.

The ability to communicate in the workplace allows us to share information with our coworkers and business associates to reach our business goals. Maximizing this ability through better understanding and optimal use of the voice and body language allows us to deliver a clear, effective message. Each of us possess a unique voice and style of communication—both verbal and non-verbal. This course will increase your awareness of your style and how to maximize its performance to bring about effective interactions, and to better understand others as well.

Since 1994, Salina resident Kathleen Depperschmidt, has worked primarily with adults in speech/language pathology (SLP) helping them regain communication/cognitive skills lost as a result of stroke, brain cancer, neurological disease, head injury and other disorders. She also treats swallowing disorders and helps clients  improve professional speaking/voice skills, and to maximize professional communication effectiveness.  She has published three books, and regularly blogs at www.thesisterlode.com.  Kathleen has also professionally trained as an auctioneer.

A $5 fee to cover a portion of lunch is required.
