Looking to begin the exploration into your family’s history and learning how to document your findings? Join instructor and enthusiastic genealogy hobbyist Kathy Mastin in this four-part class, and begin your family history journey with an experienced guide. Using checklists, forms and writing stories, Kathy will show you how to get started. From there you’ll learn how to research, document resources and how to talk to relatives. Kathy will help you explore economical options for compiling your information and incorporating photos and stories chronologically.

Instructor Kathy Mastin has a B.S. in education with a minor in art from Kansas Wesleyan University. She has researched genealogy for herself and others for many years. Her love of family and history started at a young age, listening to her grandparents talk about their lives and ancestors as they made their way across the Atlantic, and generations later, making their way to Kansas.

This class meets once a month from Nov.-Feb.
