Event Details
In this class, you will make and take a small Cherokee-style double-wall basket from start to finish! A very mindful art form, weaving baskets is a skill to be proud of! All materials are provided. Please bring an old bath towel.
Lisa LaRue-Baker is a Cherokee tribal citizen, culture-bearer, and artist who has been creating baskets for over 30 years. Formerly an employee of the Cherokee Nation tribal government, she is currently a gallerist, art curator, and cultural consultant who resides in Topeka, Kan.
