Program Description

Event Details

Lucas Bessire, author of the Kansas Notable Book, Running out : in search of water on the High Plains, will provide a live virtual presentation about his memoir, followed by questions from participants. His memoir focuses on the history and health of the Ogallala Aquifer and his family's ties to it. Running Out is complementary to Lab Girl, in that it explores the workings of the natural world - and is particularly relevant to Kansas residents.

Attendees can join in-person in the Campbell Room or virtually via Zoom.  A Zoom link will be sent to all participants the day of the event.
