To coincide with our Salina Reads book selection Lab Girl, this take and make is all about trees! Learning from the book Handmade Houseplants, you'll get to create a darling little Sassafras tree seedling using paper and floral wire. 

Ever wonder what a bee’s life looks like? Help us kick-off Salina Reads with a presentation by a local beekeeper to learn what it takes to keep these busy little insects going from colony to honey harvest.

Not all bees live in a colony. Some bees are solitary and need small spaces to hatch their larvae. During this workshop participants will make a bee hotel for their garden using recycled materials.
