Join Ms Heather for a Storytime designed to meet the early literacy needs of children ages 18-36 months. Children and their caregivers will enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and play.
This novel is inspired by the true story of a captive gorilla named Ivan. Ivan tells of his 27 years of interacting with humans and friends outside of his life in the jungle. Join us in exploring this touching story of a gorilla and his friends.

Names of patrons will not be used in publicity without consent.Salina Public Library, in partnership with St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, will provide free grab-and-go lunches this summer. Pickup will begin May 28th and run through August 2nd. Priority will be given to youth ages 0-18.
Participants will work with a licensed teacher to keep their reading and comprehension skills fluid through the summer. Students can pick up their book a week prior to the registered Session in the Youth Services Department.

A bi-weekly writers' group that will meet to read and critique each other’s fiction writing. Anyone is welcome to bring their work and discuss it with other writers in the community!
